Hi, there. We're Kemp Metal Products.
Kemp Metal started in 1945 with 3 brothers (Joseph, Bernie and Nat) after coming to America. The story of how it got its' name remains a mystery (stories from it being the name of the boat the brothers came over on, to the name of a person they met on the boat are just two of the few stories. We will never likely know the truth.
Kemp is now in its' third generation with Mark Raskin (President) and his son Scott Raskin (Vice President) running the day-to-day operations of the company
PRESIDENT
Mark Raskin
1961-1972 Worked with his father, Joe, on school holidays helping in the factory and learning the business
1973-1977 Worked in the factory further learning the operations of the company
1977 (same year Scott was born) - started towards purchasing, and taking over the company from his fathers share of the company
1978 Became Vice President and began managing the company as Joe transitioned towards retirement
2003 - Completed his acquisition of the shares of Kemp Metal Products
Since then he has continued his duties, and has been transitioning most of the functions of the business to Scott
VICE PRESIDENT
Scott Raskin
1996-1999 Went to Tulane University to get his degree in Marketing and Management. During the summers he began learning the business from the bottom up
1999 Upon graduating from the AB Freeman School of Business, began immediately as a full-time employee learning more about the business
2002 Began working more in the office, learning more about the operations of the company
2005 Moved full time into the office and has been running most of the day to day operations since
